Rebekah Fitzgerald – Executive Director Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Mount Olive, Rebekah gained experience by working as a part-time Historic Interpreter at the Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site while a student at UMO. She brought her passion for history to the Wayne County Museum by joining the staff in June 2016. Rebekah is a native of Princeton, NC. Joanna Ferrin-Ewald – Museum Assistant Being an Illustrator and Printmaker with degree in Commercial Art & Advertising, Joanna has an extensive background. She graduated 2 years early from high school while studying Fine Art privately at the Art Institute of Mill Street Loft and started her own freelance business, Maverick Made in 2009. Through her business, Joanna managed over 32 individual, business and institution-based clients and served as a curator, designer and social media manager for non-profit organizations. Joanna also worked part-time as a Gallery Attendant at the world renown contemporary art museum, Dia:Beacon for 3 years while receiving her degree. Her work has been featured and published in over 30 different exhibitions and publications. She has brought her passion for the arts, and her extensive experience in design, curating and event coordination to the Wayne County Museum by joining the staff in March 2017. Joanna is a native of New York. After living in West Palm Beach, Florida for a year, she moved to Goldsboro with her husband who is stationed at Seymour-Johnson AFB.
